Chapter Events

 We will identify trees in winter, or at least try, as we meander to look for the skunk cabbage and the snow trilliums.   The hike is about 2.5 miles—three miles if you want to see the "Bear Tree." It is a bur oak that we have measured to be possibly 400 years old. We will cross creeks in three places. If you don’t want to go the full 3 miles, there are places to return.

Bring water, dress appropriately to the weather. We will cross streams, so wear waterproof shoes/boots.
